Bikes are often at the forefront of developing countries. They can both offer a way to give mobility to people who can’t afford other forms of transport and therefore let people get to jobs in places they couldn’t otherwise easily reach, and help in other ways.
In this video, for example you can see a report on a company using recycled materials to produce bikes in Brazil.
Somehow I always like the opportunity to link recycling and cycling in some elaborate pun.
