Cycling can be a world of glamour, as I hope I demonstrated yesterday, and as is far more thoroughly shown when you start looking at pictures of people who are timelessly glamorous, riding bikes in a bygone era. Almost amazingly I came across just such a thing and here is a thing about Hollywood stars on bikes.
At something of the other end of the scale, cycling can be terribly uncool and somehow it’s hard to put the two ends together. For example, take this biking couple. I mean, while in the right circumstances (usually an ironic one) tandems can be cool, recumbents never will be and adding in helmet-mounted rear-view mirrors, woolly hats under helmets and, quite frankly, that moustache just tips you over the edge.
