Everyone likes statistics, and what better way to start a new week, when you’re looking at a week of sitting at a desk and pretending to be interested in spreadsheets, than a load of cycling stats?
Here we go then:
What’s the biggest sports goods market in the world? Cycling.
What’s the average price of a bike in the UK? £242
How many bikes were stolen in one ram-raid on a Sheffield shop? 20.
And can cycling ever be as popular as football, bearing in mind that we’re significantly better at it? Who knows.
So there we go. Stats mostly shamelessly borrowed from Bike Biz. Better stuff coming later in the week when I’m less hungover.
