Like many many British holiday makers facing the end of the summer, cycling has moved form Spain, back to Britain this weekend.
The Vuelta ended with a historic two British riders on the podium as Froome and Wiggins brought it almost all the way home for Team Sky. Then, in the traditional post-holiday rain, Cavendish stormed through to take the first stage of the Tour of Britain. All in all it’s shaping up to have been one of the most successful British cycling seasons ever across all disciplines.
Just to emphasise my point even more, all you have to do is find an even, and it seems there’ll be a Brit winning it.
