It seems like time, as we’re half way through to “big up” the Tour of Britain. Not only does it have the most exciting field that I can ever remember seeing, but it’s getting some pretty exciting racing.
Once again ITV 4 is your place to watch it and see some of the biggest names in cycling fight it out on roads that it won’t cost you a ferry trip to ride yourself.
In fact it’s a day of positive news for cycling. If you live in Birmingham you’ll probably be happy to know that there’s a plan for a new 1KM test track to complement the Bike Show at the NEC, and that it will be a permanent fixture. I reckon if you get dragged to any other events at the NEC, this could be the thing that saves your day.
In other news, it’s well known that Boris Johnson is something of a cycling superhero, and it turns out he’ll even help if you have been horribly car-doored..
