Circus Skills

I’m a bit late with this (as ever) but on what would have otherwise been a pretty unremarkable Monday night Channel 4 came through with an awesome take on street-sport films with Concrete Circus. Not only was it great to see sports like skating, free-running, BMX and street trials actually on real telly, but the premise of making new films in each area meant that even if you know something about the athletes you got to see something new.

The skating and free-running were spectacular, and the BMX focussed on flatland which isn’t my favourite area, but still looked arty as the bike was twisted into more and more remarkable shapes. However, fairly predictably, what really caught my attention was Danny MacAskill’s new offering. Even having seen what he can do it still blows my mind. And here it is for you:
