It would appear that this blog is sometimes ahead of the game. Not very often, but just now and then.
So you might remember a couple of days ago I wrote about the Independent journalist who had his bike stolen. I pointed out that he’d only locked the bike by the seatpost and suggested this was less than ideal.
Well it turns out that a day later, and thousands of miles away a much better-read (and written) blog than this spotted exactly the same thing. I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions about this. Coincidence? Or has the FMFT influence spread? More likely I suppose I’ve read BikeSnob for so long I spot the same kind of things and enjoy the same humour, and with it being in a UK newspaper and with Mr Snob being on holiday at the time, I had a distinct advantage.
Still, perhaps I should place some strategic made up facts and see where else they turn up. It’s still breaking news if it didn’t actually happen, right?
