Fun in the Sun

Bank holiday weekend part one was, as you undoubtedly know, hot and sunny and a perfect time to get out on a bike.

So I did.

It’s probably best to just give you the highlights rather then boring you with the full rides, so just imagine carving baked hard singletrack through bluebell woods, sweating up dazzling climbs, hitting a short chalk downhill which was a stepped white scar between lush green borders and the deep blue sly, and absolutely nailing it above a valley, riding the limits of a singletrack helter-skelter as the sun beat down.

And now remember tit’s only April and we might have months of this to look forward to. Back in work with colleagues moaning about having eaten too much, I’m feeling fitter than I did before the break.

While I was off doing all this the World Cup kicked off in South Africa and you can see the replay right here on Freecaster.

Also, for those of you making the bridge between the bank holidays (this is lining up to be the worst link ever) then spare a thought for people in San Francisco who are strongly against the introduction of a speed limit for cyclists on the Golden Gate Bridge.
