Back With the News

We’re back.

Apologies for the break in transmission but now we’re back and in due course will bring you all the exciting news from riding and breaking things over the last two weeks. In the meantime here is all the news we think worth mentioning in the wider world of cycling in the same time.

Reading is thinking of following in the wheeltracks of London and Paris with a possible bike-hire scheme which a decision is due on any time. Hopefully this addition to the cycling infrastructure won’t be quite as contentious as the international-headline grabbing debate over a bike path in New York.

Perhaps it’s more interesting to have a new bike and there have been a slew of new ones around. For example for those of you committed to your cars, even when on a bike, BMW have an M-series branded carbon bike for you. Carbon has already been in some ways “done” in cycling so you could consider a different material. Why not nylon?.

In more serious news the earthquakes in Japan apparently led to a rise in bile sales as people looked for any way to get around. In the worst of situations it seems that bikes can help people.

Finally, and as we like videos a lot, here’s an awesome POV shot of another of those urban downhill races. Look out for our take on it as soon as possible.
