Competitive Cycling

In exactly the sort of challenge we enjoy at FMFT Gee Atherton recently raced multiple World Enduro Champion David Knight down the course at Fort William in a battle between motorbike and pushbike. In an effort, perhaps, to prove all the electric assist bike fanatics wrong (or something) and show that pedal power is king. So, who would win? If all that power and speed is just a bit too much for you and you like your bicycle competitions a lot more sedate and involving brain power rather than balls and gravity, then we have another option for you. On the 5th December you can take part in Oxford Cycle’s bicycle Scrabble competition. Collect your tiles and return to base to add your word to a Scrabble board in a competition which I’m sure will have all the adrenaline and excitement of the Fort William race. Imagine if someone manages to top the highest ever scoring word with something even better than QUIXOTRY. That would be something to remember…
