After the undoubted excitement of the World Cup last weekend, the build up for the Downhill World Championships are in full swing. So much so that you can watch a practice run of the course right here on Freecaster from the point of view of the current World Champion, Steve Peat.
FMFT has an access code and will be in front of a computer attached to a telly on Sunday (or Saturday, if Freecaster is to be believed).
If all that isn’t exciting enough for you, how about a thrill in the form of Kelly Brook wearing clothes? Fresh from being naked in a shoot for Playboy, which I’ll leave you to find for yourself on the internet, she put a dress on and jumped on a bike again to promote the London Skyride. Quite frankly if that doesn’t make you want to get on a bike just to be a bit like her, then I don’t know what will. Clearly TfL could have saved themselves a lot of money with their new cycling campaign by just running pictures of her. I’m no expert, but I’m fairly sure that while men may possibly hope to find her in a bike lane near them, there’s a chance that she might be a role-model for women wanting to achieve that relaxed stylish riding look. Unfortunately for everyone that might be achievable in a 10 minute photoshoot in the sun, but it’s going to get harder to look that good in a November rainstorm as you battle through the puddles of London.
