Touring.

We’re approaching a bank holiday again and, as you’ll probably realise, there will be a break in communication from FMFT for the duration. In actual fact the break will be a little longer than usual as part of FMFT heads off for a long weekend in the land of tulips, bicycles and legal sex and drugs.

We’ll return with a post on Wednesday 5th May, just in time for the election, provided the aforementioned delights of Amsterdam don’t leave us totally incapacitated. There might even be more tales of foreign bicycles and exciting comments on Dutch cycling infrastructure and how it compares to our own.

In the meantime, much nearer to home, the route for the 2010 Tour of Britain has been announced with very little online fanfare. You can see the route here. Once again the peloton will be tackling some spectacular parts of the country as they race through Central Wales and the Southwest and will finish again in London for what promises to be another spectacular event. This year we may well actually make it to the event, rather than reporting on it based entirely on TV coverage.
