FMFT Photoshoot

As the more observant of you might have noticed, we’ve finally got round to changing the picture at the top of this blog.

Now you might think this was simple. Just a quick snap and you’re done? But it turns out it was a lot harder than you might think. Just getting together to do it was hard enough, even on the day we planned it there was a certain amount of being late, and disorganised. Once we were there the real problems started. It turns out it’s quite hard to get a good shot of a bike riding on a road. Maybe it’s because we’re not photographers, but we hit a number of snags:

Taking the picture too late (or possibly riding too fast).

Taking the picture too soon (or maybe riding slowly?)

Trying to be arty and blurred and just ending up blurry

And finally a real issue with our model being too far away, on the wrong side of the road and going the wrong way.

Honestly, it’s like working with mal-coordinated small animals. Anyway, in the end we achieved something, that, with a bit of fiddling, you see above. Although let’s not even get started on the tricky issue of socks.

Still, any excuse to be on a bike is worth taking, and even riding back and forth for a few photos means playing on a bike. It’s also fun to see what you look like, although it's seems that we're still not entirely happy, so we might be trying it all over again.

  1. Great result, but if you want a bit of unasked for advice, it's still a little tricky to read the writing...J
PS Are the socks leopard print?
