I wrote a post a while ago which mentioned girls that you see from your bike, and the way they can make a commute more interesting and certainly pass quicker. While some people seemed to think we were making it a blog simply about girls and bikes, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Honest.
It does work for some people, however. I feel obliged to mention some of the sites, purely in the interest of journalistic integrity and sharing, of course.
Everyone likes a pretty lady on a bicycle, right? It’s art. If it's good enough for Transport for London, it's good enough for us. (even if the girls aren't wearing helmets)

So here we go:
Copenhagen Cycle Chic The best of the Cycle Chic blogs, stylish and sexy
Chicks and Bikes Racy (and not in a carbon Orbea type way) at times…
Girls on Bicycles! Pretty much does what it says on the tin
Hungarian Cycle Chic a bit of a copycat site really.
Try and keep your eyes on the road!
While I'm making a link-heavy post (and practising all my HTMLness) I'll round-up of the bike blogs we’ve found and like. We've added the best of them to the right hand side for you so you can enjoy them forever.
Bike Snob NYC unfailingly superb
London Cyclist
London Cycle Chic
Yehuda Moon and the Kickstand Cyclery
On the subject of TfL there's lots of information on the TfL Cycling website. Including ways in which riding to work is going to be made easier, in theory at least, in London. I hope it ends up being a bit more constructive than the improvements on a main road on my journey. The leaflet through the door talked of a better route for cyclists, but the road was simply made narrower (leaving less space for cyclists) and had bikes painted on the tarmac. Inspired. It's like creating a new door in a wall by painting a person on the bricks, it won't make it any safer to try and walk through.
Perhaps the leaders of the city should also look at improving the chances of finding somewhere to have your bike at home. You try finding a rented flat where the tenancy allows you to keep bikes indoors, or which lets you get them out withough negotiating too many tight stairwells. Perhaps there needs to be encouragement to landlords to help bike ownership.
Afterall, we're doing more to keep cars on the road and keep motoring happy, in the end, by reducing congestion, if nothing else, than Jeremy Clarkson ever will. I'm all in favour of that for when I want to drive off to somewhere more fun than the streets of North London to ride.
It all got a bit political there for a minute. Scroll back up and look at more girls on bikes.... ahh that's better.
