Films and Prizes

Have you been riding to work every day with a helmetcam running or a camcorder in your hand? |If so this might be your best chance to make a bit of money. TfL are running a competition to make a film that celebrates the new cycling revolution in London.

This is a brilliant chance to use all the commuting films out there on the internet and maybe put them together to create something that might go further than the exciting heights of You Tube. So as long as you’ve included a bit of you riding a Boris Bike or attempting to follow the Cycle Superhighways you should be well in for a prize.

If you can’t quite be bothered to go to all that effort of making an actual film (although that seems to be a popular thing for all cyclists everywhere), then never fear, you can still win a prize of sorts by committing any kind of crime, as the BBC is reporting that people in parole may now be offered bikes to help them get a job and rebuild their lives. While we don’t want to be all Daily Mail about this, and we are wholly behind schemes that help people get back on their feet, I guess we simply hope that if we ever find ourselves in this position we’ll find a nice titanium hardtail waiting at the prison gates.
